Omni-Mesoscope Lab (Liu Lab)
The Omni-Mesoscope is a multimodal multiscale imaging system that combines quantitative phase imaging with highly multiplexed fluorescence microscopy. It has a uniquely ultrawide single field of view (FOV) of ~5 mm2 at a sub-micron lateral resolution. It enables simultaneous detection of dynamic cell behaviors across a large cell population in their spatial context at a high temporal and spatial resolution.
RESOURCES IN THIS LAB:
-
A collimated light-emitting diode (LED) used as the illumination beam for fast quantitative phase imaging of cultured cells and tissue sections
-
Six diode lasers (405, 470, 530, 589, 650, and 750 nm) coupled to a multimode fiber (MM-Fiber, or MFF) and a high-frequency vibration motor to create uniform flat-field illumination
-
A customized motorized filter wheel with nine band-pass emission filters used for highly multiplex fluorescence imaging for cultured cells and tissue sections
-
Automated staining system implementing an iterative multiplexed immunofluorescence staining protocol for over 20 targets
- Imaging of cellular dynamics and high-content molecular characterization
- Multi-modal whole-slide image processing pipeline for quantitative mapping of tissue architecture, histopathology, and tissue microenvironment
Computational Imaging Microscopy Lab (Bhargava Lab)
This lab is dedicated to developing computational imaging technology for acquiring quantitative information about biological objects (e.g., optical volume and refractive index) in a label-free manner. It consists of several microscopy systems integrated with a stage-top incubator, enabling long-term live-cell imaging for applications in cell development and drug delivery.
